A former WWE Superstar has just referenced a surprising moment in the Stamford-based promotion back in 2019, as she clapped back at those who were commenting on her. This would be Gabbi Alon Tuft.

Formerly known as Tyler Reks, he had a run in WWE from 2008-2012. A few years ago, she made the transition to a transgender woman and has teased making a return to the ring. She has been spotted backstage at both AEW and NXT earlier this year, which had prompted speculation regarding her career.

Gabbi Tuft recently took to X/Twitter to comment on a clip of Baron Corbin hitting his End of Days finisher on Becky Lynch during their mixed tag match at WWE Extreme Rules in 2019. Tuft commented on the post, seemingly calling out the double standard, as some believed that she should not be allowed to wrestle females.

"GAbBi ShOuLdN’T wReStLe FeMaLes…" Tuft tweeted.

A top AEW star shared the same sentiments as the former WWE Superstar

Under Gabbi Alon Tuft's post from earlier tonight, a former AEW Women's Champion replied to share her comments on the situation. This would be Nyla Rose.

Nyla became the first-ever openly transgender woman to sign with a major promotion as she joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019. Eventually, she ended up winning the world title as well, and amass several great wins on the promotion. As mentioned by commentary, she is currently tied second for the most singles wins in the company's women's division, with 60 wins.

Nyla Rose also talked about the double standard as she claimed that there was no outrage to the spot, and they even enjoyed seeing it happen.

Yea… Ever notice how when it’s a situation like this, there’s ZERO outrage and in fact, people laughing and getting hype about it…. Just something to notice…." Nyla replied.

With these two having a lot in common and having amassed great experience in the ring, it remains to be seen whether they will cross paths in the future and if this could be at AEW.
