AEW star Skye Blue has seemingly sustained a legitimate injury during her match tonight on Collision. It forced the promotion to call off the match.

Last week on the Saturday show, following her win over Harley Cameron, Skye called out Hikaru Shida, as she wanted to face her one-on-one. That match finally took place tonight.
It was a close bout from the start, but despite the excitement around the match, it ended abruptly. After Shida went for a diving crossbody from the middle ropes, she landed on Skye Blue. However, following the bump she took, the Chicago native landed hard on the ankle area, and they immediately called for the medical staff.

AEW went on a commercial break during that time, but the camera's focus remained on Hikaru Shida, as she even picked up her jacket and walked backstage. Skye Blue was not shown at all on-screen since the incident.
Moments later, the Japanese star came out with a referee, and her hand was raised as the match was called off. She was awarded the victory, and her opponent was unable to compete.
We at Sportskeeda hope for a smooth recovery for the AEW star.

Enzo is a Pro Wrestling journalist at Sportskeeda, reporting on AEW. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Studies, which influenced his decision of taking up sports writing professionally, and has been an avid fan of the athletic theater since childhood. He believes readers deserve authentic and unique content and aims to report in a manner which pro wrestling fans can easily relate to.
Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
Other than pro wrestling, Enzo enjoys keeping up with Basketball, Football, and Formula One. He also loves watching films, playing video games, and listening to music.
