AEW's FTR, which consists of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, is one of the most dominant tag teams in the company. They are two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Recently, Wheeler shared extremely tragic news about his home state of North Carolina. He revealed that many Western North Carolina towns and cities, including Old Fort, have suffered immense damage due to Hurricane Helene.

According to BBC, this calamity has taken the lives of 30 individuals in just one county. On Instagram, Wheeler shared a few pictures of the disaster with a heartfelt caption explaining the situation. Furthermore, he said it would take ages for the area to recover and requested his followers to donate for their help.

"Old Fort and so many other cities and towns in Western North Carolina are completely devastated. Entire towns have been wiped out. Lives and homes lost. Small businesses washed away. It’ll take years to recover from the damage. If you can help at all, follow the link in my bio to donate, or just spread the word." read his caption.

Cash Wheeler was certain that he would be fired from AEW after controversial incident

Earlier this year, Cash Wheeler was arrested due to charges related to alleged aggravated assault with a firearm. Although the 37-year-old is in the clear now, he initially thought Tony Khan would fire him.

"The maximum, if the judge sees fit, is five years in prison. I knew that, but I also knew that I didn’t do it and I was not going to sit here and be like, ‘I’ll take any charge to not go to jail.’ If I do that, AEW has to get rid of me," Wheeler said on Close Up with Renee Paquette.
