This article contains spoilers for this week's episode of AEW Collision. Acting EVP Christopher Daniels punished the Unified World Trios Champions and forced them to vacate their gold during the tapings.
This week's Collision was taped after Wednesday Night Dynamite, which took place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The show will air on Saturday, July 13, 2024, on TNT.
Wrestling Observer recently released a report disclosing what happened during this week's edition of Collision. The Bang Bang Gang (Jay White & The Gunns) was stripped of its AEW Unified World Trios Championship.
On the show, The Bang Bang Gang replaced an injured Jay White with Juice Robinson for its match against Michael Allen Richard Clark, Shaun Moore, and an enhancement talent.

Following the popular faction's victory, Christopher Daniels stripped Jay White, Austin Gunn, and Colten Gunn of the AEW and ROH World Trios titles for citing the Freebird rule for their match. Daniels then announced a match for the vacant championships at a later date.
AEW Collision ratings witnessed a major drop as the show went head-to-head with WWE Money in the Bank 2024
On Saturday, July 6, Collision went head-to-head with WWE Money in the Bank 2024. As a result, the Saturday night show saw a massive drop in ratings compared to the June 29 edition of the program.
Last week's edition of Collision garnered a total of 306,000 viewers, with a 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demo. This was way less than the previous episode, which recorded a viewership of 422,000, making the rating 0.12.
This decline in Collision's viewership numbers may be a one-off issue. WWE did a great job in booking the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, and many viewers may have chosen to watch the annual spectacle instead of the weekly program.
The premium live event featured splendid matches, including two highly anticipated ladder bouts for the men's and the women's MITB contracts. Moreover, the surprise appearance from John Cena was the icing on the cake.
Cena made a heartbreaking announcement in Canada as he disclosed that 2025 will be his last year as an in-ring performer. The 16-time World Champion also confirmed that WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will mark his final appearance at The Show of Shows.
