WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is one of the most iconic superstars of the company to date. He has come toe to toe with many great wrestlers across several generations. The Texas Rattlesnake has been very active in his retirement making many movie appearances and hosting several shows.
In an interview with Forbes, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was asked about many topics. His recent shows, his reaction to WWE superstars of the past and present, and surprisingly his thoughts on AEW superstar CM Punk and the rival promotion.
When asked about the former AEW world champion and his recent controversies, Steve Austin reveals that he did not know anything about this. He only recently found out that punk suffered from a torn tricep.
He had the following to say about the Straight-Edge Superstar.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"Man, I just sent Punk a message last night. I didn't know he had torn his triceps. I haven't been following anything. I don't know what's going on with that. Me and Phil trade messages every here and there. We rarely talk, probably once or twice a year. I love the guy, and I don't even know if I mentored him because Punk's probably a lot smarter than I am." [H/T forbes]

The Hall of Famer was all praises with regards to Punk. He even narrated a certain interaction with the superstar saying that in one of the shows in Chicago, he got to hang out with the Second City Saint. The WWE veteran also mentioned that they even have a picture to prove it.
Stone Cold Steve Austin reveals that he rarely watches AEW product
In a recent interview with Forbes Stone Cold Steve Austin was asked about rival company AEW and former world heavyweight champion CM Punk. He revealed that he is currently not updated with the happenings on the Jacksonville-based brand.
He had this to say about them.
"But I don't even know what's going on with the current situation or what they're doing because right now I rarely watch any of the product. I watch all the pay-per-views and major pay-per-views, but he's certainly carved out a hellacious career in his own right by his own right." [H/T forbes]
In a sense, both superstars are similar, both have become icons in the wrestling industry by being solid on the mic, being great performers in the ring, and leaving an impression on the fans. While Stone Cold Steve Austin is retired, CM Punk is currently in the process of making his return to AEW.
