Swerve Strickland was involved in a major backstage brawl with a former rival this week on AEW Dynamite. The latter, Max Caster, is one-half of the top tag team, The Acclaimed.
The New Flavor was interviewed backstage on the November 27, 2024, edition of Dynamite, where he was asked about his shocking loss to Bobby Lashley at Full Gear this weekend. Strickland vowed to jump back on track and rebuild, albeit conceding the toughness of The All Mighty as an opponent.
However, Swerve was distracted by Max Caster, who seemingly laughed at the former AEW World Champion as he was passing by. Upon being confronted by Strickland, the self-proclaimed Best Wrestler Alive taunted the Washington native for losing to Lashley and invoked their past rivalry, reminding him of the time The Acclaimed defeated Swerve In Our Glory to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear 2022 in the Prudential Center.
Caster then proceeded to allude to Hangman Page burning Strickland's childhood home down earlier this year, at which point Swerve snapped, viciously beating up Platinum Max and leaving him laid out backstage.
Seeing how Caster has teased some interest in joining The Hurt Syndicate lately, it remains to be seen how The Realest may face retaliation from the current Acclaimed member on All Elite programming.
