Swerve Strickland on how hatred fueled his rise to the top of AEW

Swerve Strickland had plenty of fans when he first joined All Elite Wrestling, but it wasn't until he tangled with Hangman Adam Page that he finally gained a foothold in the main event scene.

Swerve and Hangman's bloody feud stretched from 2023 to 2024 and involved several intense promos, segments, and matches. In a recent conversation with Denise Salcedo, Strickland opened up on his storyline with Page and how it elevated them both:

"I would rank it definitely, like, top three, ever, for me, and for AEW.. No doubt in my mind it's the best story All Elite Wrestling has told, because it was so unique and so personal, because it wasn't just two wrestlers, it was two human beings.. And crossing the line of men, how far are you willing to go to push those buttons of someone you truly hate, why are you hating them? A lot of people hate just to hate, but no, I hate him for these reasons, and the audiences know and understands why...," Swerve said.

Strickland went on to hint that he and Hangman will always be tied together and predicted that fans will continue to be uncomfortable and excited whenever they encounter each other.
