Swerve Strickland was recently complimented by a former AEW World Champion and potential future rival. The Washington native has now responded to the remarks on social media.

Strickland's recent rise in the Tony Khan-led promotion has been exemplary. Since the beginning of his star-making rivalry with Hangman Page in 2023, The New Flavor soon found himself catapulted to the top of the card, dethroning Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship earlier this year and enjoying an acclaimed run with the belt before dropping it to Bryan Danielson in a blockbuster match at All In 2024.

The former Moghul Embassy leader then continued his blood feud with Adam Page, which culminated in a disturbingly violent Lights Out Steel Cage match at All Out, which The Hangman walked out of victorious. Currently, Strickland is under attack from The Hurt Syndicate and is set to face Bobby Lashley at Full Gear 2024.

Swerve Strickland recently received high praise from Kenny Omega. During an interview with Sean Ross Sapp, The Cleaner complimented the 34-year-old star's wrestling prowess and acknowledged his growth and success as a top guy in All Elite Wrestling. Strickland has now responded to Omega's comments, taking to X/Twitter to convey his gratitude to The Best Bout Machine.

Strickland and Omega have yet to compete one-on-one in the Jacksonville-based promotion, a match that fans will undoubtedly be very excited to see.

What lies next for AEW's Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland

On November 4, Kenny Omega appeared at NJPW Power Struggle 2024 and revealed his intention of returning to in-ring action inside a New Japan ring.

The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion stated that he was targeting Wrestle Dynasty next year on January 5 for his comeback. Recent developments suggest that Omega's opponent for the upcoming pay-per-view may be Gabe Kidd of Bullet Club War Dogs.

On the other hand, Swerve Strickland defeated Lio Rush this week on Dynamite before calling out his Full Gear opponent Bobby Lashley to a brawl.

Unfortunately, the self-proclaimed most dangerous man in AEW and his manager, Prince Nana, were beaten down by The Hurt Syndicate.
