Swerve Strickland sent out a cryptic message after his brutal AEW All Out loss against Hangman Page. This one will have the fans wondering what he meant.

The former AEW World Champion has endured a rough past couple of weeks. Hangman Page ticked him off when he set Strickland’s childhood home on fire. Immediately after that, Swerve was beaten by Page at All Out.

Since then, he has been quiet, but he has now broken his silence with a cryptic tweet. Swerve Strickland took to Twitter and wrote a message that is hard to decipher.

“Yall did exactly what I knew you'd do,” he wrote.

While it is not certain what he was referring to, it very well could be that he was talking about his ongoing feud with Page. Or he could be talking about some other names in the AEW locker room.

Sam Roberts talks about Swerve Strickland taking a chair shot to the head

Swerve Strickland’s match against Hangman Page at AEW All Out had people talking, but for all the wrong reasons.

Many considered the match to be too violent, and several sports were uncomfortable to watch. One of them came towards the end of the match when Swerve Strickland took a chair shot clean to the head, which knocked him out.

Sam Roberts, who frequently gives his opinion on the happenings in the wrestling world, has revealed that he did not like the spot. Speaking on his NotSam Wrestling podcast, he said:

"I think there are ways to do this without steel chair shots to the head even when steel chair shots to the head are gimmicked. Just the fact that we know how bad they are is enough just to say let's just avoid it entirely. I don't like gimmicked head shots. I don't like non-gimmicked chair shots to the head. I don't like any of it. I think it's bad. I think it takes you out of the match because you know how dangerous it is and you kind of object to it happening to anybody that you like seeing perform whether you cheer for them or boo them. If it were a one-time thing maybe."

This is not the first time the two men were involved in an ultra-violent match. Their Texas Deathmatch at Full Gear 2023, though highly acclaimed by many, was also criticized.
