The former world champion has had a rough time since losing his AEW World Championship to Bryan Danielson at All In. Hangman Page burnt his childhood house, which Swerve recently purchased. Further, the former then went on to lose the match against him at All Out. He hasn't been seen in the company since then.
While Swerve Strickland is on a hiatus, his manager Prince Nana was approached by the debuting MVP at Dynamite: Grand Slam. The latter claimed he wanted to talk business with Strickland and handed the business card to Nana. On one side, Montel was trying to sign the former AEW World Champion and on the other hand, he brought in Shelton Benjamin as his business associate last Wednesday.
