Swerve Strickland sent a two-word message on social media. This comes after WWE was reportedly unhappy with his new AEW contract.

Swerve Strickland has quickly risen to become one of the top stars in AEW. His meteoric rise has taken place over the past year. Within a span of 12 months, he went from feuding with Hangman Adam Page to defeating Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. Swerve even took part in one of the most anticipated main events in the company's history when he faced Bryan Danielson at AEW All In 2024.

Prior to the match taking place, Swerve signed a new contract with Tony Khan which is reportedly set to be one of the biggest deals in the company's history. Since the news broke, WWE has been reportedly unhappy with it since they consider it "bad for the business." Swerve has now taken to social media to send a two-word message after these reports broke out:

"Cold summer."

Swerve Strickland will face Hangman Page in a steel cage match at AEW All Out

Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page have been feuding since the better part of a year. The two men have clashed numerous times in the ring. The animosity between both men is so bad that Page is still upset over Swerve being World Champion that he tried to interfere in his title match at All In.

This week on Dynamite, Strickland confronted Page in the ring and challenged him to a steel cage match. Following this segment, Tony Khan took to social media to confirm that the match will take place at AEW All Out:

"Saturday, September 7 Chicago, IL #AEWAllOut Steel Cage Match Hangman Page vs @swerveconfident The most violent rivalry in AEW history culminates on September 7 in Chicago at AEW All Out when Hangman Adam Page faces Swerve Strickland inside of a Steel Cage!"
