Weeks after losing his All Elite Wrestling World Championship to Bryan Danielson at All In 2024, Swerve Strickland found himself locked in a cage with Hangman Adam Page at All Out 2024. The two men destroyed each other in an unbelievably violent Unsanctioned Lights Out match to settle their year-long blood feud. Days after burning down his arch-enemy's home on Dynamite, The Cowboy seemingly closed the book on his quest for vengeance as he battered Swerve on the head with a steel chair in a gut-wrenching final blow, forcing the referee to call the bout.

Fans on social media are still talking about Page's match against Strickland at All Out, with many highlighting the drastic changes the former AEW World Champion's character has undergone over the past year. One such X/Twitter user shared a clip of Page speaking about his children's book, Adam and the Golden Horseshoe, and professed their love for The Hangman despite his recent conduct and actions.
Swerve Strickland responded to the post by sharing his own view on his sworn rival.

Swerve Strickland has inarguably had an excellent and successful year so far. From his star-making feud with Hangman Page, to winning the AEW World Championship by beating Samoa Joe at Dynasty 2024, his spectacular title defenses against the likes of Claudio Castagnoli, Christian Cage, and Will Ospreay, his performance in Blood and Guts, to finally dropping the belt to Bryan Danielson at All In - 2024 can no doubt be called one of Swerve's best years in pro wrestling and in AEW.
Strickland's accomplishments were acknowledged recently on PWI's list of the world's top 500 wrestlers for 2024, on which the Washington native ranked second, just below Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Swerve recently took to X/Twitter to react to his place on the venerable catalogue.
"'I love lists' [wink emoji]," wrote Strickland.
It remains to be seen when fans will see Swerve Strickland next in All Elite Wrestling.
