The Jacksonville-based company announced earlier that the next edition of the Casino Gauntlet Match will be held on Dynamite on January 8. The winner of this unique bout will then be able to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in the latter's hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, at Dynamite: Maximum Carnage on January 15.
Later, it was revealed that a three-way match would be contested on Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen 2025 between Roderick Strong, Jay White, and Swerve Strickland to guarantee the number-one spot in next week's Casino Gauntlet. The three men went to war in a fast-paced, hard-hitting bout, with every individual competitor bringing the fight for a shot at The One True King of AEW.

Toward the closing stretch of the bout, Strickland suffered an unexpected and brutal ambush at the hands of Ricochet, which opened the door for White to deliver a Blade Runner on Strong for the win. The Switchblade is thus one step closer to challenge for the World Championship at Maximum Carnage later this month.
It remains to be seen if Jay White can beat Moxley after failing to dethrone the latter at Worlds End last year.
