AEW star Tay Melo recently took to social media to debunk rumors of a backstage fight between Sammy Guevara and Malakai Black. She clarified that the speculations in question were unfounded.
Melo has been signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion since 2020 and has worked alongside and opposite many of the top stars of AEW's women's division, including Thunder Rosa, Jade Cargill, and Britt Baker. The Brazilian star was last seen in action on All Elite programming on Rampage in 2023. However, during the AEW Double or Nothing 2023 Pay-Per-View, Melo, alongside her husband, Sammy Guevara, announced that they were expecting their first child, whom she gave birth to later that year.
AEW presented the All Out 2024 Pay-Per-View in Chicago, Illinois. A rumor regarding an alleged backstage disturbance began making the rounds on social media during the show. One X/Twitter post claimed that a scuffle had taken place between Sammy Guevara and Malakai Black of the House of Black.
However, Tay Melo swiftly called out the claim as inaccurate, requesting fans to enjoy All Out and appreciate the women's matches from the card instead.
"I'm sorry to disappoint y'all , Sammy is not involved in any fight!! lol Stop creating drama and enjoy the show guysss , let's talk about how the girls are f*****g killing it !" Tay Melo shared.

It remains to be seen when the 29-year-old star will return to in-ring action in AEW.
AEW star Tay Melo is cleared for in-ring action
Tay Melo was last seen competing in an AEW ring on a January 2023 episode of Rampage, where she and Anna Jay were defeated in a tag team Street Fight by Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. The 29-year-old star has not stepped foot in the squared circle since teaming up with Sammy Guevara to defeat Encore and Tiara James at an independent show in March of last year.
Recently, however, there have been speculations suggesting that the Brazilian star is set to make her comeback soon. In an appearance on Guevara's vlog around the time of All In 2024, Tay Melo revealed that she was cleared for competition and that her in-ring return was in the hands of AEW President Tony Khan.
"You gotta call Tony Khan and ask him; I don't know about that. I'm cleared now. I'll tell you that I'm cleared... Mama's cleared now, just got cleared, so," Tay Melo said.
It remains to be seen when the former AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion will be brought back to AEW TV.
