MJF elicited some emotional reactions from fans

AEW World Champion MJF has surprised many fans with a softer, more emotional side of himself lately. In a touching and reflective tribute to a member of his family today, The Salt of the Earth garnered positive reactions from fans and colleagues alike.

Ever since his babyface turn this summer, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has pulled a lot of heartstrings with his earnestness and genuine interactions with fans. Although the AEW World Champion hasn't abandoned his biting wit, he has been more willing to let the wrestling world in on his thoughts and feelings, both online and in the ring.

Today is a difficult day for MJF, as it's the third anniversary of his grandfather's passing. Maxwell took to X and penned an emotional tribute to the man, revealing that his grandfather molded him into the man he is today.

MJF has explicit advice for young and aspiring talent

Maxwell Jacob Friedman's openness with his feelings has extended beyond heartfelt tributes. The AEW World Champion hasn't shied away from giving his opinions on the wrestling industry and workplace culture in general.

A longstanding tradition in wrestling holds that younger talent should listen to veterans and be willing to take their advice. However, Max believes that those with talent should not allow longer-tenured stars to talk down to them.

The Salt of the Earth took to X yesterday and gave advice to those who might be facing such an issue in the workplace:

"If you’ve been at a job for a small number of years but at a high level for a majority of it. You don’t have to listen to dumb motherf***ers that talk down to you, and say they know better because they’ve been at the job for a large number of years, but at a low level for a majority of it. Respect everyone. But don’t let anyone son you, ever," posted MJF.
