Reigning FTW Champion Chris Jericho recently addressed his potential retirement. The Learning Tree is one of the most decorated stars in the history of professional wrestling.
During his stellar career, Jericho has played several gimmicks. His ability to constantly reinvent himself has kept him on top of the wrestling landscape for a very long time. However, in recent times, he has received immense heat from fans, who believe that Y2J is past his prime and should retire.
In a recent interview on The McGuire Show, the former AEW World Champion opened up about his impending retirement and claimed that he could still deliver the best match on any given night.
"I'll know when it’s time, you know? I’m really enjoying what I’m doing, and I’m still contributing at a high level; I can still have the best match on the show on any given night—not every night but any given night. And I just really love what we’re doing with AEW right now. So there’s really no rush on that. And when I know, I’ll know," Chris said. [H/T: Wrestling Purists]

Since then, fans have taken to social media to lambast the veteran for his claims.
Chris Jericho compares the working conditions of WWE and AEW
Chris Jericho worked in the WWE for several years and became a household name. Now that he has moved to AEW, Y2J is the perfect person to compare the working conditions in both promotions.
During a recent interview with Neal Brennan, the 53-year-old stated that AEW treats the talent roster like athletes, and, hence, they get better hotel care in addition to the fact that they work a less hectic schedule.
"When I was working in WWE, sometimes we worked Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and maybe even a Tuesday once in a while. That schedule was insane—absolutely crazy. Different city, different city, driving, renting your own cars, all that sort of stuff. When AEW started, that was one of the things: we only work on Wednesdays. Now we work Wednesdays and Saturdays, but still, it’s much better. Our boss, the Khan family, also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham Football Club in England, so they treat us much more like an athletic team. We get much better care with hotels and cars; all that stuff is taken care of, which wasn’t the case in WWE," Chris Jericho said.
Meanwhile, Chris Jericho will lock horns with Samoa Joe in a Stampede Street Fight on this week's Dynamite. It will be interesting to see how Y2J fares against The Samoan Submission Machine.
