WWE veteran Jim Ross is shocked to see a former AEW World Champion return to action in New Japan Pro Wrestling instead of All Elite Wrestling. The name in question is none other than Kenny Omega.

The Cleaner has been out of action from AEW since last December due to diverticulitis. Kenny Omega had surgery earlier this year and could be gearing up to return to the ring in January. He recently made his NJPW return where he was confronted by Gabe Kidd backstage. It is currently believed that Omega is set to face Gabe Kidd at WrestleDynasty.

In the recent edition of his Grillin JR podcast, Jim Ross reacted to Kenny Omega returning to NJPW instead of AEW.

"Kenny Omega is one of the best workers in the world, and him saying 'they don't need me.' We don't need the best worker in the world? I think you're wrong there Kenny. That's a blow to me." [From 19:16 to 19:33]

AEW star Kenny Omega recently provided an update on his status

Kenny Omega is seemingly set to wrestle Gabe Kidd at the WrestleDynasty Pay-Per-View in January. The Cleaner recently returned to NJPW where he shared his desire to wrestle a young star. He also got into a backstage brawl with Gabe Kidd after the event.

In a recent interview with NJPW, Kenny Omega revealed that he wasn't sure he would get cleared to wrestle Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty. He further said that he plans on embarrassing Gabe at the PPV.

"Look, I want to make it very clear I’m not taking this to make anything of Gabe other than an example. I wasn’t even sure I'd be medically cleared for January 5, but what Gabe did and said was enough to push me over the finish line. I might've been known as The Best Bout Machine in the past, but my goal isn’t to elevate Kidd to a world class performance, it's to show him the reality of the situation he’s in right now, and what embarrassment in front of 20-30,000, 40,000 people, and many thousands more watching around the world looks like," Kenny Omega added.

The fans will have to wait and see how things shape up between Kenny Omega and Gabe Kidd in the coming months.
