A former WWE star has slammed AEW for reportedly telling Ryan Nemeth to throw shade towards former world champion CM Punk. The star in question is EC3.
Ryan Nemeth is also a former AEW star and has made some bold claims recently, according to reports from Fightful. In the document, Nemeth claimed All Elite Wrestling encouraged him to cut a shoot promo on CM Punk after he told the company about Punk's threats and abuses against him. It has been known since the past year that Ryan Nemeth and CM Punk supposedly do not get along.
On the recent Sportskeeda Wrestling's exclusive The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, EC3 called out AEW for telling Ryan to cut a shoot promo. He stated that the promotion should prioritize having conversations with the talent about their issues or they could possibly tear the wrestling business apart.
"I think that would probably solve everything really fast. So I just think it's leaders like, 'I'll just go cut a shoot promo on him.' Like that's bullsh*t. Sorry. But like, I get like, there's a difference between apprehensions and like emotions to drive great character work and talent. But if that's the cause or the solution to cure legitimate, real beefs that are possibly going to tear our business apart, you have to get in front of it. And you have to just have the conversations with the talent." [6:35 - 7:08]

EC3 further spoke about AEW taking away Ryan Nemeth's deal
EC3 also revealed that Ryan Nemeth is his close friend and the veteran had shared his thoughts on his issues with All Elite Wrestling and CM Punk. The former WWE star has also seemingly sided with Ryan on the recent controversy.
In the same episode, EC3 slammed AEW for not playing a fair game with Ryan Nemeth after telling him to bad mouth CM Punk.
"I think with the issues at hand, when bringing them up and being given the run around, like go cut a promo, or I think there's some bit of talent about like, well, we're going to compensate you this amount of months pay for it. But then they took the deal away. I think that was in there where then, yeah, I mean, it's absolutely legitimate because, hey, this is how a person feels. Who am I to say if they're feeling the right way or the wrong way about it?" [7:42-8:11]
Fans will have to wait and see if Tony Khan or CM Punk responds to Ryan Nemeth's comments.
