"That's fun too" - Top AEW star wants another "legitimate fight"

A top AEW star recently talked about professional wrestling overall and the physicality that is involved. He then revealed that he wanted to get into another legitimate fight at least one more time in his career.

Bryan Danielson has been regarded as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time, and he has a resume to boot. In several of his matches in AEW this past year alone, he has gotten very physical with his opponents, even to the point of sustaining some injuries. The star is seemingly in the final year of his full-time wrestling schedule and has hinted at retiring.

During his appearance on The Hull Show, Bryan Danielson talked about the spontaneity of wrestling, and how at times due to how physical things get, there becomes real heat between two stars. He admitted that he liked those scenarios and revealed that he wanted to get into a legitimate fight at least once more in his lifetime and that he might feel bummed out if this didn't happen.

"I love the spontaneity. Wrestling is what it is, but there is the spontaneous aspect of it too, even the way you react to the crowd or how you react to somebody doing something to you. Sometimes, the physicality, sometimes you get into a legit beef out there. That's fun too. I said this to somebody not too long ago. If I die and I don't get into another legitimate fight, I think I'm going to be a little bit sad."

He clarified how this does not mean that he will go out and pick fights, but admitted that he indeed wanted something of the sort to happen.

"I don't want to go out and fight all the time or anything like that, but if I die and don't get into another fight, I think there is going to be a part of me that is a little bit sad by that. There is something innate in humanity. We like to wrestle. Wrestle for play or whatever it is. That is part of who we are as humans," he said. [H/T Fighftul]

Bryan Danielson recently revealed his next major goal in AEW

On AEW Dynamite a few days ago, Bryan Danielson reflected on how he has been doing over the past year. He talked about how he has been in several major matches but has always fallen short of his goals.

He then revealed that his next major goal was to win the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. Tony Khan recently announced that the tournament winner will challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In in August. It seems that the American Dragon wishes to be in the main event of the pay-per-view after missing last year due to injury.

With Bryan Danielson now counting the days he has left as a full-time wrestler, it seems he wants to go all out and end this with a bang. A world title win will be one of the great ways to end a legendary career,
