AEW recently presented the 250th episode of its flagship weekly show, Dynamite. It was a big day for the company, and the Tony Khan-led creative team left no stone unturned in making it a memorable affair.

Eric Bischoff and Tony Khan have no love lost between them. They have been critical of each other in the past. The former WCW executive often questions Khan's leadership skills and creative decisions on his podcasts.

That said, Eric Bischoff again lambasted Khan on his 83 Weeks podcast following Dynamite 250, which aired on July 17, 2024. The Hall of Famer highlighted how AEW struggled with the attendance figures for the Wednesday night show despite offering a stacked match card.

"They're down because the audience is not buying the product. Less and less people buy the product every week. What do they have, like 2800 people at their 250th landmark show, with the two biggest stars in the company, and they drew less than 3,000 people? That's not cyclical, that's just dying."

He compared AEW's progress to WWE's and said that the Tony Khan-led company was significantly behind the global juggernaut in terms of profitability.

"WWE's business is up year-over-year. They're setting financial records every time they open their mouths—attendance records, ratings, year-over-year business is not cyclical for them it's only cyclical for AEW." [H/T: WrestlingInc.]

Did Eric Bischoff praise AEW President Tony Khan?

Eric Bischoff is among the most experienced names in pro wrestling. He led WCW to unforeseen heights during the Monday Night Wars and later excelled in on-screen roles in WWE.

Despite being at odds with Tony Khan, Bischoff praised the 41-year-old on a recent edition of his podcast. Last week on Dynamite 250, MJF took on Will Ospreay in a 59-minute-long match and defeated him to become the International Champion.

The former RAW general manager mentioned that he didn't watch the title match but liked the idea of presenting something different to the audience. He then gave Khan his due credit for coming up with such a unique, out-of-the-box idea to feature on Dynamite 250.
