MJF once again did not appear in person on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite. However, he sent a message to his rival, Adam Cole, in a segment currently making the rounds on social media.
The Wolf of Wrestling was confronted by a returning Adam Cole at WrestleDream 2024, months after Friedman took out the latter in a retaliatory act at Double or Nothing earlier this year. Last week on Dynamite, the former AEW World Champion refused to engage with Cole. The Panama City Playboy was set to address MJF this week on the Wednesday night show but would be interrupted by his stable, The Undisputed Kingdom.
After the faction reunited in the ring, Roderick Strong revealed that he wanted a crack at Friedman first, which prompted Cole to call out MJF to receive a beatdown at the hands of The Undisputed Kingdom. The Salt of the Earth then appeared on the Tron and was seen receiving a massage from an individual he addressed as Natalia.
He moreover informed Cole and Strong that whichever of the two former WWE superstars racked up three straight wins first would receive a match against him at Full Gear 2024 and that he would not physically show up on AEW programming before the pay-per-view.
The segment caused a stir on social media, as viewers were enamored by the masseuse featured in it. Taking to X/Twitter, fans shared several interesting responses, invoking MJF's real-life partner, All Elite broadcast personality Alicia Atout, and even WWE legend John Cena.
AEW's MJF has been lashing out against Adam Cole on social media
Adam Cole sustained a severe ankle injury last year, which put him on the shelf for months. After having undergone surgery and spending months rehabilitating his foot, the former ROH World Champion returned some time ago and will be in action against Buddy Matthews on Fright Night AEW Dynamite next week.
During a recent interview, Cole discussed the nature of his injury and revealed that he had to have a bone from a cadaver installed in his foot. His arch-rival MJF, however, was quick to take to X/Twitter and call out the 35-year-old star for supposedly being a grave robber.
"Go ahead. Cheer the grave robber," MJF wrote.
It remains to be seen whether Adam Cole will be able to earn a bout against the former American Champion at Full Gear next month.
