The Cleaner is back! AEW's Kenny Omega defeats 27-year-old star on in-ring return

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made his in-ring return tonight and defeated a young NJPW star. The Cleaner wrestled his first match in more than a year at a major event.

After being out of action for more than a year due to a medical condition, Kenny Omega is finally back. The Best Bout Machine competed at the 2025 Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view at the Tokyo Dome. He squared off against 27-year-old NJPW star Gabe Kidd.

The match between Omega and Gabe Kidd was made official after the two had a backstage brawl a few months ago. Kidd took several jabs at the AEW star before their match. The much-awaited showdown turned out to be a brutal affair, involving the use of tables and chairs.

Both stars delivered amazing performances despite being busted open during the bout. At the end of a memorable encounter that lasted over 30 minutes, Omega managed to defeat Gabe Kidd.

Last month, Kenny Omega made his AEW return at Worlds End 2024. He is now scheduled to appear on the upcoming edition of Dynamite. Fans will have to wait to see what's next for The Cleaner.
