The Elite has just suffered a major upset tonight on AEW Rampage almost a week before WrestleDream where they will be in action. They lost against a team that could be their potential challengers for the titles. This would be Private Party and Katsuyori Shibata.

Tonight, The Elite made a rare appearance on Rampage. The Young Bucks haven't been seen on the show since February, and Jack Perry's last match on the Friday night show was more than a year ago.
It was a high-octane action between the six men in the ring. Each side was looking for momentum heading into the pay-per-view. Kassidy and Quen have expressed their intentions to go after the tag team titles, while Shibata and Perry are set to lock horns at WrestleDream for the TNT Championship.

It looked like The Elite were about to leave with a win, but in the end, Private Party countered the TK Driver and was able to pull off an upset the same way they did five years ago, via a roll-up pin.
Tomorrow night, they have a chance to become the number one contenders. They will clash with the House of Black and Top Flight in a three-way match. The winner will go on to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at WrestleDream.
