AEW recently removed a popular star from its active roster. The talent being discussed here is Satnam Singh. The One in a Billion star became All Elite in September 2021.
Satnam made his maiden appearance on AEW TV in April 2022, when he attacked former World Champion Samoa Joe and aligned with Jay Lethal and Sonjoy Dutt. Singh's last in-ring performance for Tony Khan's promotion came on the June 12, 2024, episode of Rampage, where he defeated Rosario Grillo in a singles match.
But recently, it was found that the Jacksonville-based company removed the 28-year-old from the men's wrestlers section of the roster page and added him to the broadcast team.
Following the revelation, wrestling fans took to Twitter (X) to share their views on the same.
"That's management's fault for not giving him [Satnam Singh] a solo push instead of being in a group of clowns," a fan wrote.
"I do not want this. I want anything but this," a fan wrote.
Some fans suggested that Satnam's wrestling skills forced AEW to make this decision.
"The reason is because he s***s at wrestling," a fan claimed.
Satnam Singh enjoyed working with Sting and Darby Allin in AEW
During an interview conducted by Sportskeeda's Riju Dasgupta, AEW star Satnam Singh shared his experience working with the legendary Sting and The Icon's tag team partner, Darby Allin.
“Sting is really, really down-to-earth, and he’s a really good person. And when Sonjay [Dutt] told me he [Sting] really wants to work with us and Darby, and they want to do a tag match with another star, I said, ‘Man, I’m down, I’m ready to do it!’ I’m really happy to do something like the crazy stuff. So, I was like, 'I’m down!' Whatever Sting and Darby, whatever they want to do, I’m good! I’m ready to do it. So when they got a really good move on me, that really s***s, I went down, but it’s fun!” he said.
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Satnam Singh comments on the recent developments in the coming days.
