AEW just received a bit of positive news as Saturday night's Collision drew strong numbers this past weekend. The episode kicked off AEW's new residency for its show, which runs through August 7 at Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The highlight of the show was the highly-anticipated arrival of Hologram.
Saturday's AEW Collision opened up with Darby Allin vs. The Beast Mortos and closed with The Patriarchy defeating The Bang Bang Gang for the vacant World Trios Championship. The following lineup was also advertised ahead of time: Thunder Rosa vs. Deonna Purrazzo in a Lumberjack Match, Roderick Strong vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Hikaru Shida vs. Skye Blue, a promo from FTR, and Hologram's debut, which came against Gringo Loco.
Collision drew 472,000 viewers on July 20, according to Wrestlenomics. This is up 30% from the previous week's total audience of 362,000. The Saturday night show drew the best viewership since May 18 for the episode that aired with Rampage as a doubleheader. This was also the fourth-highest Collision viewership of 2024 so far.
Collision drew a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 key demographic on July 20. This is up 7% from last week's 0.14 key demo rating. Saturday's key demo rating was the best since May 18 and tied with four other episodes for the second-highest key demo rating of the year so far.

AEW's 54th edition of Collision had a strong competition on Saturday night. The episode went head-to-head with the WNBA All-Star game on ABC, UFC Vegas 94 on ESPN, and the TNA Wrestling's Slammiversary pay-per-view.
AEW to continue residency; top stars set for ROH pay-per-view
The All Elite Wrestling residency at Esports Stadium in Arlington will include Collision episodes on July 27, August 1, August 10, and August 17.
Friday's ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view will air from the same venue. There will also be TV tapings on July 28 and August 11, with 1 pm and 8 pm sessions. Several top AEW stars have been announced for Friday's PPV. Below is the current lineup:

- Texas Deathmatch: Leyla Hirsch vs. Diamante

This will be the seventh Briscoe vs. Strong singles bout since 2006. The series is currently tied 3-3, and all previous matches have been held under the ROH or ROH/PCW banner.
