A member of The House of Black recently commented on his "never-ending" rivalry with a top AEW star. The talent in question is Brody King, who was speaking of his feud with Darby Allin.
Brody King joined All Elite Wrestling as an ally of Malakai Black on the January 12, 2022, episode of Dynamite. He has managed to capture the respect of audiences through his in-ring prowess and has already tasted championship gold in the Tony Khan-led company, having held the AEW World Trios Titles alongside Black and Buddy Matthews. He also had a very impressive showing in the Blue League of the 2023 Continental Classic, although he failed to win the tournament.
King has clashed against Darby Allin on several occasions prior to and following his AEW arrival. The 6ft 3in powerhouse eliminated the former TNT Champion to win the 2022 Royal Rampage Battle Royal. The two men went on to exchange wins in singles competition, with Allin coming out on top in their last encounter in a brutal Coffin Match. They were also on opposing sides at AEW All Out 2022, where Allin, Sting, and Miro defeated The House of Black in a trios match.
The rivalry between Darby Allin and Brody King continued this past week on Rampage, as the Washington native eliminated the latter from the 2024 Royal Rampage match.
During a recent interview with Ringside Collectibles at the San Diego Comic-Con, King was asked about his feud with Allin. The 37-year-old star responded by making the shocking claim that the strife between the duo will likely persist until one of them is "underground," suggesting their conflict is lifelong.
“I feel like my blood feud with Darby Allin is never-ending until one of us is literally in the ground. He has the moniker tattooed on his chest, ‘Nothing’s over til you’re underground,' and I don’t think that feud will ever be over.”
King went on to add:
“It’s more than a title for me if I can put him six feet deep. I have his headstone tattooed on my leg.” [H/T - Ewrestlingnews]
AEW's Brody King tossed Darby Allin off stage during a concert
While Brody King plies his trade as a pro wrestler in AEW, he is also a musician who plays for the hardcore punk band, God's Hate. However, the two worlds of the reigning PWG World Tag Team Champion overlapped during a recent event.
Earlier this month, Darby Allin took to Instagram to post a video of himself rushing the stage during a God's Hate concert, and going straight for King, who effortlessly bench-pressed the 31-year-old star and tossed him into the crowd. In the post's caption, Allin, like Brody, alluded to his long-running rivalry with King.
"The rivalry with @brodyxking will never end!"
It remains to be seen whether or when Brody King and Darby Allin will square off one-on-one next in AEW.
