CM Punk launched into a now-infamous tirade against several of his former AEW colleagues while feasting on confectionery during the All Out 2022 media scrum. The owner of the shop that made the snacks in question, Mindy's Bakery, recently spoke about the incident and its impact.

Despite presenting a considerably impressive card, All Out 2022 continues to be associated with the Best in the World's blistering rant against "Hangman" Adam Page, and AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks of The Elite, in what was speculated to be a frustrated response to rumours surrounding him and his former friend, Colt Cabana. Punk's statements eventually caused a backstage fight to break out between him, Ace Steel, and The Elite, which led to multiple suspensions being handed out by the Tony Khan-led company.

During the media scrum following the pay-per-view, Punk was seen snacking on muffins and he later revealed that the food had been prepared by Mindy's Bakery from Chicago, Illinois. During a recent appearance on the Let Me Tell You Why podcast, Mindy Segal of Mindy's Bakery praised CM Punk as a person and as a patron. She also discussed the impact her store being mentioned on the AEW All Out press conference has had on its business:

"I will tell you, it's the gift that keeps on giving. He (CM Punk) is such a great guy. He lives in my neighbourhood. He used to come to my restaurant all the time and sit at the bar and eat. He's a great, very, very good man. He has always supported me. He's always supported my staff. I didn't know the magnitude of (the press conference). It's insane. People still come here because of CM Punk." [H/T Cultaholic]

The Second City Saint was eventually released from AEW in 2023.

Former AEW World Champion CM Punk will wrestle Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood 2024

CM Punk had a brief albeit successful and memorable run in AEW. His stint in the Tony Khan-led company came to an end after The Straight Edge Superstar was fired due to his involvement in another backstage altercation, this time with Jack Perry at All In 2023.

Punk made his shocking return to WWE at the Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event last year. The 45-year-old star is currently locked in a deeply personal feud with Drew McIntyre. Punk lost to The Scottish Warrior at SummerSlam 2024, but the former defeated the latter in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin last month. The two men are set to collide once again in a Hell in a Cell bout at Bad Blood on October 5, 2024.

It remains to be seen if CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will definitively settle their differences at the upcoming event.
