A top AEW star is the greatest wrestler alive according to the EVPS, The Young Bucks. The name in question is none other than Kazuchika Okada.

The Rainmaker joined All Elite Wrestling earlier this year and quickly turned heel to align with The Young Bucks. Okada also managed to capture the AEW Continental Championship from Eddie Kingston and has introduced a new character which has been received well by the audience.

Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, The Young Bucks heaped praise on their New Elite stablemate. Matt Jackson lauded Okada for his comic timing, likening him to a movie star, and also called him the "greatest wrestler alive," reserving special admiration for the 36-year-old star's versatility.

“He’s a movie star with perfect timing, an unbelievable sense of humor, and he just so happens to be the greatest wrestler alive. I can tell you while he doesn’t exactly prefer being in these types of matches, he’s certainly having a damn good time. It would’ve been so easy to just come here and rely on the things he’s already known for. I’m so proud of him and his versatility,” said Matt.

Nick Jackson also spoke of Okada's versatility and was amazed at how quickly the Japanese had adapted to life and work in a new country. He further shared his enjoyment of working with Kazuchika Okada.

“Okada is the best. He is performing so great and adapting to new matches he’s never been in as well as I’ve seen anyone be able to do it on the fly. It’s been so much fun working with him these last several months. There’s no one better,” said Nick. [H/T: InsideTheRopes]

AEW's The Young Bucks recalls wrestling the Briscoes

This past week on AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts, The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada, and Hangman Adam Page faced off against Mark Briscoe, Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, and The Acclaimed.

During the match, Mark paid tribute to his late brother Jay Briscoe who passed away last year. Mark hit the Jay Drillers on The Bucks, which was a heartfelt moment for the fans and the stars alike. Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Nick Jackson broke character and reacted to taking the Jay Drillers.

"We wrestled The Briscoes so many times. It felt really good to wrestle Mark. When he was hitting those Jay Drillers on all of us, I knew Jay was smiling. I was feeling pain by then, but I still kind of smiled a bit during that moment," Nick Jackson said.

The Young Bucks are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions. It will be interesting to see which tag team challenges the EVPs in the coming months.
