AEW veteran Billy Gunn further explained his argument with his wife
Former AEW World Trios Champion Billy Gunn was very vocal about his addiction on the Insights with Chris Van Vliet podcast. The veteran revealed that he'd taken some pills before speaking to his wife which led to her leaving him. He explained that it made him sort out his life for good.
"The call that I’m dead because I wrecked two cars. I would take a massive load of pills before when I flew home, just so I didn’t have to deal with her and listen to her. And they would kick halfway there. I ended up in a ditch and now she’s at the hospital having to come get me you know. So, like, you don’t want to live like that. So she left, she was out. She goes, I ain’t doing this no more." [H/T:Chrisvanvliet.com]
Billy Gunn is still performing in AEW at 60 years old. It will be interesting to see which star from the Jacksonville-based promotion ends the veteran's professional wrestling career.
