AEW star Jeff Jarret made a major announcement on Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen. He came out to the ring to address the fans. People were expecting him to announce his retirement. Even his wrestling boots and iconic guitar were kept in the ring.

But to everyone's surprise, he announced he would only retire after having one last run in Tony Khan's company. Therefore, he signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling, seemingly marking his final run in the company.

He also added that he wanted to win the world championship in his last run. Therefore, he will participate in the Casino Gauntlet Battle Royale match next week on Dynamite to have a shot at the title.

Previously, John Cena announced his retirement at WWE's Money in the Bank 2024 PLE. He stated that 2025 will be his last year as an in-ring performer. After hearing Jarrett's announcement on Dynamite, fans accused AEW of copying WWE's John Cena retirement storyline.

AEW Dynamite: Fight for the fallen witnessed huge return

Before Jeff Jarret made his last AEW run and retirement announcement on Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen, he was seen in a backstage video talking with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh. His friends offered him their support.

A few moments later, Jeff's wife, Karen Jarrett, made an appearance. She reminded him of all the sacrifices he had to make due to pro wrestling, hinting that she was not okay with his decision to not retire. Nevertheless, she chose to support her husband in his decision.
