An AEW star who is respected backstage opened up about not getting enough opportunities to wrestle on AEW TV. The star last wrestled at the recent Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view.
The star in question is QT Marshall. QT has been signed with All Elite Wrestling since the beginning of the company in 2019. Aside from being an onscreen talent, Marshall also provides his services backstage as a trainer and helper. However, QT has yet to wrestle on All Elite TV for over a year now.
He was last featured at the recent Full Gear pay-per-view zero-hour where he was defeated by a debuting Big Boom AJ. In an interview on the Everything is Pro Wrestling podcast, QT Marshall opened up on why he doesn't wrestle often on Tony Khan's promotion:
"Wrestling for AEW is a little bit harder for me, because we have a loaded roster, lot of huge stars, maybe there's a spot once in a while, I don't know. Besides Big Boom AJ, I haven't really crossed that bridge and I'm okay not doing it right now. If anything, I have my gear, if they need me they know here to find me." [10:15-10:36]

AEW star asked Tony Khan to be able to work for other promotions
The All Elite Wrestling star, QT Marshall, also disclosed that he asked Tony Khan to be able to wrestle for multiple promotions. Marshall revealed he could wrestle for promotions such as AAA, CMLL, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling:
"I spoke to Tony [Khan] I was, 'Hey, what if I don't wrestle at AEW but I can wrestle for whoever else, right?' And it was like TNA and obviously them having relationship with the other company, it's a little harder so then when Scott D'Amore started Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, it was like, 'Ok well, I can do that.' I could still do AAA, I could do CMLL if I want. I could do New Japan, right?'" [9:53-10:14]
Fans will have to wait and see when QT Marshall returns to All Elite TV.
