Dutch Mantell made a controversial statement when he said that an AEW power couple had broken up and gone their separate ways. This, however, has not been confirmed.

The couple in question are Adam Cole and Britt Baker. Speculation first arose about the status of their relationship about a month ago when Cole announced on his Discord server that he was moving back to Pennsylvania alone from Florida.

Mantell has now controversially claimed that that was a sign that the duo had broken up. He was speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast when he said:

“We said he is moving by himself back to Pennsylvania... He is from there, right? Usually, people move back home, and there is nothing to hold him here in Florida, so he is gonna go back home. I would say that they are separated, broken up,” he said. [1:38:25 - 1:38:44]

As soon as he said that, the show's co-host, James Romero, interjected and said that he should not jump to conclusions and that they could still be together.

AEW stars give an update on Adam Cole’s situation

Adam Cole was last seen in AEW in May when he was attacked by MJF at Double or Nothing. Since then, there have been a few updates on his potential return, but nothing substantial.

However, Evil Uno and Daddy Magic were asked about Cole at the All Out media scrum, and they gave a very interesting update. Uno revealed that the former WWE star was in good spirits, but there is no news on his recovery.

On the other hand, Daddy Magic said that Adam Cole was present backstage during the show, was seen walking around, and was in good spirits overall. While nothing has been made official yet, the update from Uno and Magic is interesting.

It could mean that Adam Cole might soon be nearing a return to AEW.
