The AEW Dynamite 250 showdown between Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) and Will Ospreay will be talked about for months. The two wrestlers had a grueling battle this past Wednesday, which lasted 59 minutes and 58 seconds, something that is uncommon on cable wrestling programs. In the end, The Salt of The Earth defeated The Aerial Assassin to become the new International Champion.
Tony Khan and AEW management have received mixed reactions regarding their decision to put on an hour-long match on Dynamite. Many appreciated Ospreay and Friedman's in-ring efforts, while some were not impressed with the length of the match. Interestingly, WWE Hall of Famer and AEW's long-time critic, Eric Bischoff, was impressed by the company's out-of-the-box idea.
In the recent episode of the 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff podcast, the 69-year-old said that even though he hadn't watched the International Championship match, the Tony Khan-led company deserved credit for "doing something different."
"I haven't seen it, but I've read about it. I hesitate to comment too much other than to say, based solely on what I've read, I applaud AEW Dynamite and Tony Khan for doing something different. The fact is that they tried something very different. It may have bombed. It may have been a horrible idea. Or, it may have been really, really great, out-of-the-box; let's surprise the audience with something that is different than what they typically do. So kudos, without having ever seen it. I don't care if the match s**ks, which I know it doesn't. But even if it did, kudos!" Bischoff said. [8:43-10:45]

Booker T is not impressed with the MJF vs. Will Ospreay match on AEW Dynamite
Unlike Eric Bischoff, former WWE World Champion Booker T wasn't impressed with the recent encounter between Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Will Ospreay.
The NXT commentator stated that the lack of a vignette or promo before an hour-long match made the eventual showdown between MJF and Ospreay a dull affair for him.
"For me personally, no vignette, no promos or anything. Just guys in the ring, wrestling, overlaid by the commentators. Me personally, that is not that entertaining to me," Booker said. [23:02-23:21]
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how MJF fares in his reign as International Champion.
