Earlier tonight on AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland had the opportunity to share the ring with a former WWE Superstar for the first time since both of them joined the promotion. Fans were excited as they did not expect a reunion between the two. The former superstar in question would be Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks).
In tonight's opening contest, The Rated-R Superstar shared the ring with Willow Nightingale to take on Julia Hart and Brody King of The House of Black. They came up unsuccessful, with Hart tapping out Willow, but she did not immediately let go of the hold and this was the reason The CEO came out.
Chair in hand, the former WWE Superstar stormed to the ring and sent The House of Black members packing. After this, Adam Copeland and Mercedes Moné were seen in the ring at the same time for the first time, and they acknowledged one another with a brief handshake.

Fans did not expect the sudden reunion and they expressed their delight in seeing the two popular wrestlers in the same ring. One fan even suggested that they should form a mixed tag team.
Adam Copeland once commented on former WWE Superstar Mercedes Moné's AEW arrival
Last month, while speaking to Sports Illustrated, Adam Copeland talked about the stacked AEW roster, and he briefly spoke about Mercedes Moné, who at the time had just become an official part of the roster.
The WWE Hall of Famer looked at all the great talent, and how these were stars he'd been in the ring with before and those he had seen for the first time. Copeland then expressed how this was the same case with Moné as he believed she was going to have a lot of fun in AEW.
"For her, AEW is a blank canvas with a brand new palette of paint. For me, it was the same. I saw Swerve [Strickland], The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Claudio [Castagnoli], FTR, all these names I've never crossed paths with. It's the same with Mercedes - think of how much fun she's going to have here. Think of all the new opponents."
It may not be a mere coincidence that Adam Copeland and Mercedes Moné shared the ring earlier, as the two former WWE Superstars may have a chance to team up in the future.
