A new spinner belt was unveiled for the current Ring of Honor Women's World Champion Athena similar to John Cena's WWE Title years ago. Fans on the internet couldn't help but point out the similarities between the two belts.

After winning his first WWE Championship back in 2005, John Cena unveiled the popular spinner title belt which is still a nostalgic moment for the fans. The spinner belt continued to be the most prestigious prize in the Stamford-based promotion until The Rock introduced a new title in 2013.

Meanwhile, a new spinner belt has been introduced outside the WWE. On the recent episode of Ring of Honor on Honor Club, the current ROH Women's World Champion Athena appeared in the ring for a segment alongside the backstage interviewer Lexi Naur.

Lexi surprised Athena with a gift, revealing a brand new ROH Women's World Title belt with the star's picture and a spinning mechanic. The champion was happy with the new belt as well.

Update on John Cena's upcoming retirement tour

Earlier this year at WWE Money in the Bank, John Cena announced his retirement tour in 2025. Meanwhile, during a recent Q&A with Bill Apter on WrestleVotes' Backstage Pass podcast the following was reported about the retirement tour:

"I do believe the official retirement tour is going to start on January 6, that's a part of Netflix. Potential opponents? We've spoken in the past about Randy Orton, CM Punk, I can see him mixing it up with Logan Paul one point over the next 12 months, so I think there's a wide-open book for John Cena here in 2025."

Henceforth, only time will tell what Triple H and the WWE creative have in store for The Cenation Leader's upcoming retirement tour.
