A top star is reportedly leaving AEW for WWE. Since the reports emerged, fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts on the matter.
Since his debut in All Elite Wrestling, Ricky Starks has proven that he is head and shoulders above the rest of the locker room. Whether it's in the ring or on the mic, Starks leaves no stone unturned when it comes to entertaining the fans. Therefore, he is one of the most popular guys on the AEW roster.
Despite his in-ring skills, Starks has struggled to feature regularly on TV. At first, it was believed that he was absent due to injury. However, Starks clarified that he was not injured. This raised a lot of eyebrows, especially with his contract set to expire this year.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Starks is expected to sign with World Wrestling Entertainment once his contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion expires. The 35-year-old has also been present at WWE events to cheer his good friend, Cody Rhodes. He was also present at WrestleMania 40 when the American Nightmare won the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Since the reports surfaced online, fans have taken to social media to express their views on the topic. Most fans seemed excited at the prospect of seeing Starks in the Stamford-based promotion. They felt The Absolute would be booked better in WWE than he was in AEW.

Former AEW star Jade Cargill says she can lean on Ricky Starks whenever she needs a friend
Jade Cargill shocked the world when she left AEW and signed with WWE last year. The move to the Stamford-based promotion wasn't easy, as she had to adapt to a new style of wrestling. However, she had some friends looking out for her.
During a recent interview with TV Insider, Jade Cargill mentioned what an honor it was to work with Bianca Belair. She also mentioned that she could lean on Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Ricky Starks for support when she's having a bad day.
"It's great because she has been at the top of the echelon. Working with her has been an honor and pleasure. Just to be able to really mesh ideas, figure out what works and what doesn’t. If I’m having a hard time, what do you do when you have the hard days? Then, I also have Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Ricky Starks... Giving the best advice they can. People I can go to and unload and they tell me, 'Okay, I’ve been in this industry for so many years. I know how this works.' This entire industry has been supportive of my career and what I’m doing. I’m very thankful for that," she said. [H/T : TV Insider]
Jade Cargill and her partner, Bianca Belair are currently in pursuit of the Women's Tag Team Championship. Only time will tell if the powerhouse duo can reclaim the titles they lost to The Unholy Union at Clash at the Castle: Scotland, earlier this year.
