Ricochet had an awkward backstage interaction at AEW All Out 2024. Fans have now reacted to the segment.

Ricochet had been the talk of the town ever since news broke that his WWE contract was expiring. Since then, speculation about his future in the company made the rounds. Once his contract expired, he left the Stamford-based promotion.

A few weeks ago, The One and Only made a surprise appearance at AEW All In and participated in the Casino Gauntlet Match. Since then, he has competed on AEW Dynamite. The former WWE star also confronted Will Ospreay At All Out. While Ospreay was being interviewed by Renee Paquette, Ricochet interrupted and got in his face. The Aerial Assassin asked the former Speed Champion to get some wins under his belt before challenging him for the International Title. Ricochet seemingly struggled to keep up with Ospreay in this verbal exchange.

Even fans took note of this awkward interaction between these two high flyers. Many felt that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion lacked the promo skills to be a top star in AEW.

Ricochet revealed what Triple H told him before he left WWE

Although Ricochet was always a fan favorite, his push became a bit stagnant in his final year in the company. While always in the running for the Intercontinental Championship, he found himself on the losing end when it came to big matches. As a result, The One and Only took a gamble and decided to leave WWE when his contract expired.

Speaking on The Masked Man Show, the former WWE star opened up about his final days in the company. He also revealed what Triple H told him before he left the company.

"Yeah, I think I went into it, and I think, even later, me and Triple H had a little talk, and he was like, ‘Any time, whatever,’ because I just hadn’t re-signed, and it was kind of my last time there before the time ran up. I think they knew I just wasn’t gonna do it. So I think they were just trying to give me a good out that made me…something that is open-ended. I think they wanted to leave it that way, but I think they knew it wasn’t going to happen." [H/T: Fightful]

It will be interesting to see if Ricochet will receive a major push in AEW or if he will be rarely used by Tony Khan.
