The wrestling universe recently found out that WWE is going to hold an event on the same night and city as a major AEW PPV. Fans started reacting to this news as soon as it hit the internet.
A while ago, All Elite Wrestling announced that this year's Worlds End PPV will happen on December 28, 2024. The venue of the event was revealed to be the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
On this week's edition of SmackDown, WWE informed those watching that the company will hold a house show as a part of the Holiday Tour in Orlando on December 28. This means that the two abovementioned shows will collide on the same night.
After hearing the news, fans gathered to react to it on X. One fan said that Tony Khan was getting "lil bro'd" by WWE.

A fan said, "Y'all scared of house shows now? It's never been more over lmao."
"Worried about a house show outdrawing a major PPV," another fan wrote.
Some fans believe that the Jacksonville-based promotion's chances of winning the rating and viewership battle for the upcoming events' collision night are low.
This user commented, "AEW fans [are] so scared of red-hot WWE [that] a holiday live event got them crashing out LMFAO."
"If an AEW PPV can’t outdraw a house show, it says more about them than it does WWE," stated a fan.
What happened the last time WWE and AEW went head-to-head
All Elite Wrestling doesn't have a good record when it comes to going head-to-head with WWE. For instance, the Jacksonville-based company lost the Tuesday Night War last year. Dynamite and NXT were held on the same night on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Dynamite featured multiple high-profile matches and top stars. However, NXT brought out the big guns like John Cena, Undertaker, and Cody Rhodes. As a result, WWE dominated Tony Khan's company in ratings and viewership as the third brand got 921,000 viewers compared to Dynamite's 609,000 viewers.
It remains to be seen how this battle will pan out.
