Hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer recently compared a newly-arrived WWE Superstar to Jeff Hardy. The talent in question is none other than Giulia.

The Dangerous Queen made her debut in the Stamford-based promotion several days ago at WWE NXT: No Mercy 2024, confronting NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez following her successful title defense against Jaida Parker in a much-anticipated face-off. The two women are set to clash on the October 1 episode of the Tuesday-night show, which will make its CW debut on the aforementioned day.

Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer reminisced on having watched Giulia perform live at an event jointly organized by TNA and NJPW, seemingly alluding to last year's IMPACT Wrestling/NJPW Multiverse United 2, which emanated from the 2300 Arena on August 20, 2023. The ECW legend remarked on the Japanese star's charisma and drew a parallel between her and former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy.

“I got to see her live with the TNA/New Japan show at the ECW Arena, which I think was her debut. And she has it. She is super charismatic. There’s just something that you’re drawn to. I can view her as … Jeff Hardy. There’s something different about her.” (H/T Ewrestlingnews)

The Charismatic Enigma is currently making appearances in TNA, and wrestled alongside his brother Matt Hardy, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana in an eight-person tag match against The System at TNA Emergence 2024 last month. Prior to this, Hardy had a brief and polarizing two-year stint in AEW.

Bully Ray critiqued Shawn Michaels over WWE NXT segment featuring Giulia and Roxanne Perez

In a boastful promo on this week's episode of WWE NXT, Roxanne Perez spoke about her dominant run as NXT Women's Champion. She acknowledged Jaida Parker's efforts at NXT No Mercy this past Sunday, but then went on to assert that nobody was going to take her title from her.

The Prodigy would then be unexpectedly interrupted by Chelsea Green, who declared herself to be the number one contender for Perez's title. However, Giulia would show up to interrupt the proceedings, laying out Green and laying down a challenge to Perez to face her on NXT's debut on The CW.

While fans greatly enjoyed the aforementioned segment on NXT, Bully Ray - on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio - questioned WWE NXT Creative Head Shawn Michaels' decision to involve Chelsea Green in the segment, arguing that The Hot Mess outshone both Perez and Giulia through her performance.

"I don’t know if I put Chelsea Green in that segment last night because Chelsea Green completely outshined everybody in that segment last night. You could sit here and you could tell me how much you love Roxanne Perez or how great Giulia is, but Chelsea Green was the star of the show in that segment last night..." [11:00 onwards]

It remains to be seen whether Roxanne Perez will be able to defeat Giulia in their upcoming bout next month.
