On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, the team of Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta locked horns with PAC and Claudio Castagnoli. Meanwhile, fans are wondering whether this was the last time The American Dragon wrestled on Dynamite. Tommy Dreamer has now commented on Danielson's in-ring future.

Earlier this year, Danielson announced that he would quit being a full-time in-ring competitor after losing the AEW World Title. If he loses to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream, he might not wrestle on weekly television again.

Former WWE Superstar Tommy Dreamer believes the 43-year-old will continue performing on the Wednesday night program even if he loses his title. On a recent episode of Busted Open, Dreamer said Danielson might undergo surgery and return to in-ring action after a year.

"[Last match] ever on 'Dynamite'? No," "Do I think he's going to retain at WrestleDream? I do not. I disagree with that. If he loses, he's done and he's done for a while, but I do not think he will be (...) listen, he needs neck surgery, legit. He's gonna be gone probably for a year, but I don't think he's going to announce his retirement, and I don't think—you know, in wrestling, they've always done things like (...) Sting came back recently, but he didn't wrestle. But I do think Bryan Danielson—I think he'll be a part-time in-ring performer after WrestleDream," Dreamer said. [H/T: WrestlingInc.]

Tony Khan wants Bryan Danielson to stay in AEW forever

It is well known that AEW President Tony Khan and Bryan Danielson share a strong bond behind the scenes. On a recent media call, Khan said he did not want The American Dragon's full-time in-ring career to end. He wanted him to stay with the company forever.

"I certainly don't ever want to see Bryan's full-time career end. I want Bryan to stay with us forever and I want this run to last as long as possible. And I know there are a lot of people that feel that way and that's why there is going to be so many people rooting for Bryan in his home state," said Khan.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bryan Danielson. Will he retain his gold at WrestleDream? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
