AEW star Toni Storm's "Timeless" gimmick has often been hailed as one of the best in professional wrestling in 2024. Furthermore, she is the current AEW Women's World Champion and is on her third run with the belt.
The 28-year-old introduced her "Timeless" gimmick in late 2023. Interestingly, this persona has elevated her career to new heights. She acts like a demanding and anxious Hollywood actress from the early and mid-1950s. She rarely breaks character and has been praised by both fans and prominent names in the industry. Earlier this month, on an episode of Dynamite, Storm's long-term ally, Mariah May, brutally attacked her and turned heel in the process.
Storm, alongside Former AEW International Champion Will Ospreay and current AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, recently attended a panel for "AEW's Rise Inside the Ring and Beyond" during Comic-Con International on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in San Diego.
Toni talked about her rivalry with Mariah May and how she got hit in the head with a shoe. Following that, Strickland hilariously began chanting "Doom the Womb," leading Storm to break her character.

Jim Cornette criticized Toni Storm and Mariah May's "bloody" segment
In a recent episode of Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru podcast, the 62-year-old wrestling veteran expressed his displeasure regarding Mariah May's brutal heel turn on Toni Storm.
His biggest problem with the segment was that since the Tony Khan-led company is trying to renew its TV deal and search for new sponsors, it should strictly avoid content that can upset the powers that be.
"If they're in a position where girls getting color on TV will make a significant impact on their overall business enough to justify the risk of potential sponsor and TV backlash, then they are in a pretty s*itty spot," said Cornette.
Toni Storm and Mariah May are scheduled to lock horns at All In 2024 for the AEW Women's World Championship. The event will take place in London at Wembley Stadium.
