During a recent interview, Toni Storm revealed having a relationship with a WWE Hall of Famer. The star in question here is Stan Hansen.
The former AEW Women's Champion is back in STARDOM after being away from the promotion for five years. She is scheduled to take on Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship on October 5th in Nagoya.
In a recent STARDOM press conference, she commented on her upcoming match against Mayu and revealed that she will use her ex-lover's advice to beat her opponent and win the title. She was in her Timeless character when she said this.
Hansen has a fair share of experience wrestling in Japanese promotions as well.
"To make a long story short, I once had a 3-month love affair with Stan Hansen. But on our last night together as my back was dribbling with what turned out to be chewing tobacco, he turned to me and he gave me some advice. He said, 'When you're in Japan, you are a foreigner, but when they step into the ring with you, they are your country.' And then he gave me a lariat but not with his arm," Toni said.
Toni Storm refuses to acknowledge the AEW situation
Toni Storm lost the AEW Women's Championship to her friend-turned-rival Mariah May at All In in London earlier this year. Following her heartbreaking loss, she immediately left the building and hasn't been seen on AEW TV since.
She recently partnered with Mina Shirakawa to defeat IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani and AZM in a tag team match at Korakuen Hall on Saturday.
During the post-show interview, she refused to acknowledge Mariah May when Mina mentioned her name.
"I've never heard that name in my life," Toni said after Mina mentioned Mariah May.
It seems Toni Storm is too stunned to speak about what happened with Mariah May given that the latter was very dear to her. It will be interesting to see when she will return to AEW.
