Toni Storm has dropped a huge update amid her AEW hiatus, and this might disappoint some of her fans. This announcement may have ramifications in the short term.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion, who recently announced her ‘retirement,’ was scheduled for a match at a CMLL show on December 13th. The former WWE star has now taken to Instagram to share an update saying that she won't be attending the show while also revealing a very strange injury she has been dealing with.
“Ah, CMLL. So we do this dance again. To be blunt, I will not be coming to Mexico on December 13 or probably ever again. Sure I can make some excuse as I do legitimately have a torn labia but to be honest, I just don't have it anymore. I lost in AEW. I lost in Stardom. I lost in CMLL. I have nothing left to lose. I am sure you will all move on without me. AEW will send a suitable replacement. Somebody will do an arm drag. Somebody will blow an air horn and the world will keep on spinning. Professional wrestling is a big fat beautiful place but there is no room left to be timeless. So go and enjoy your show and carry on with your lives. As for me, I will be where I belong. In the sun, in the dirt with this dog that I stole from the park. Whatever happened to Toni Storm? Nothing. Chin down, t*ts in, and don't bother watching for the shoe.”

Toni Storm reveals why she retired from wrestling
Many fans were stunned when they learned that Toni Storm had abruptly announced her retirement from wrestling.
While there may have been surprises, it was clear to the star herself as she revealed why she made the decision to retire. She was speaking with SBNation when she said:
“I’m not used to being a loser. I’ve failed at everything. I lost in AEW, I lost in Japan, I lost in Mexico. This is the last you’ll hear from me again. Enjoy Mariah May as your champion. You can all enjoy that. AEW is just fine without me. Everything is going well for AEW. They don’t need Toni Storm.”
It will be interesting to see if and when she will return to AEW and what kind of angle she will be working with.
