AEW star 'Timeless' Toni Storm has not appeared on the Jacksonville-based promotion's regular programming since All In 2024. At the pay-per-view, the 28-year-old star lost her AEW Women's World Championship to her former ally, Mariah May.

Toni Storm has wrestled in several promotions across the world, including the popular Japanese women's professional wrestling promotion, World Wonder Ring Stardom. While performing there, Toni held the World of Stardom Championship for quite a long time. Storm recently returned to the promotion after a staggering five years and teamed up with none other than Mina Shirakawa to take on the team of Mayu Iwatani and AZM.

After the aforementioned match ended, the duo appeared in a post-match interview where Shirakawa mentioned Mariah May. However, Storm refused to acknowledge the reigning AEW Women's World Champion.

"I've never heard that name in my life," Toni Storm said after Mina Shirakawa mentioned Mariah May.

It remains to be seen when Storm will return to AEW. Since she was betrayed by her former ally, May, and lost the AEW Women's World Championship to the latter, Toni will certainly want vengeance as well as her championship back.

Moreover, the storyline between Storm and May might get more intriguing because Shirakawa has been added to the mix. Maybe, Tony Khan will book all three women in a highly anticipated match for the title in the future.

Mariah May believes that Toni Storm will never come back to AEW

In a recent interview with Barstool Rasslin', Mariah May said that Toni Storm would never come back to AEW and their match at All In 2024 was the latter's retirement match.

"I don’t think she’s (Toni Storm) ever going to come back. I think that was her retirement. I don’t think she can speak anymore. She doesn’t have a single thought running through her head at any one time. She just speaks nonsense," Mariah May said.

As for May, she defended her AEW Women's World Championship against Yuka Sakazaki at the recent Dynamite Grand Slam event.
