Tony Khan has announced the AEW in-ring debut of a multi-time WWE champion. The veteran competed in a couple of matches on the independent circuit in 2024.
The two-time WWE United States Champion in question is MVP. He joined AEW in September 2024 and later brought in Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley to form The Hurt Syndicate. The 51-year-old veteran will now make his in-ring debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
MVP's last televised match took place on an episode of RAW in 2022. He recently competed in promotions such as GCW and BCW. On the most recent episode of AEW Collision, it was announced that Tony Khan has booked a trios match pitting The Hurt Syndicate against Private Party and Mark Briscoe for Dynamite on Wednesday.

The Hurt Syndicate, the current AEW World Tag Team Champions, Private Party, and Briscoe interacted on last week's Dynamite. MVP will now make his All Elite Wrestling in-ring debut as he teams up with Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley to take on the babyface team in a trios match.

Along with the other big matches confirmed for AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, Tony Khan has also booked a history-making bout for the show. Khan announced the first-ever Women's Casino Gauntlet match for Wednesday on X/Twitter.
It was also announced the winner of the high-stakes match will challenge the AEW Women's World Champion at Grand Slam: Australia.
