Tony Khan has announced the return of a 6ft 5 in former WWE Superstar's AEW in-ring comeback. The talent in question is Killswitch, formerly known as Luchasaurus.

The former TNT Champion made several attempts to aid his ally Christian Cage to dethrone Swerve Strickland and become the AEW World Champion at Double or Nothing 2024 this past Sunday. The New Flavor, however, managed to overcome the odds and defeated The Patriarch to retain his title.

Now, ahead of the upcoming episode of Dynamite, Tony Khan has revealed that Killswitch will be returning to action for the first time since defeating Matt Menard on the Wednesday-night flagship show earlier this year.

Taking to X/Twitter, the All Elite Wrestling President announced that the May 29, 2024 edition of Dynamite, set to emanate from The KIA Forum in Los Angeles, CA, will pit the former Jurassic Express member against Swerve Strickland in singles action.

Prior to signing with AEW, Killswitch had a brief two-year stint in WWE, performing on NXT under the ring-name Jordan Devlin. He also competed in the independent circuit, and notably performed in Lucha Underground.

Disco Inferno feels Killswitch has been misused by AEW

Killswitch has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since its earliest days, having made his debut for the Jacksonville-based promotion in the Casino Battle Royale held during the pre-show of the inaugural edition of Double or Nothing in 2019. Since then, he has found considerable success in the promotion, including title wins in the singles and tag team division.

However, according to former wrestler Disco Inferno, Tony Khan and AEW has not succeeded at utilizing the former Luchasaurus to his fullest potential. Speaking on the Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL podcast, the veteran discussed the recent creative handling of Killswitch, criticizing the latter's lengthy association with Christian Cage.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Killswitch in All Elite Wrestling.
