AEW President Tony Khan recently made a huge announcement regarding this week's episode of Dynamite. He announced the return of FTR, who have been absent from the company since September. The duo have been busy helping Dax Harwood's neighbors in Asheville, North Carolina, recover from Hurricane Helene.
The former Tag Team Champions have been a staple of the Jacksonville-based promotion's tag division for years now. Dax and Cash are major draws for the company, and fans love their throwback style. However, the two haven't competed since the September 21 edition of AEW Collision.
Meanwhile, Chris Jericho lost to Mark Briscoe at last week's WrestleDream pay-per-view. While his stablemates tried to interfere, the rest of The Conglomeration came out to even the odds. The ROH World Champion is a good friend of FTR and once teamed up with them in August. On the upcoming Dynamite, Dax and Cash will look to settle the score with two of The Learning Tree's members.
Tony Khan recently took to X and announced that the returning FTR will be battling Bryan Keith and Big Bill. The match also promotes aid for the people affected by the recent hurricanes.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
"TOMORROW, San Jose, CA, Wednesday Night #Dynamite, 8pm ET/7pm CT, @DaxFTR/@CashWheelerFTR vs @TheCaZXL/@bountykeith After their friend Mark Briscoe’s huge ppv win vs @IAmJericho, FTR return to AEW in support of hurricane relief to battle Big Bill + Bryan Keith on TBS, TOMORROW!" he announced.
Dax Harwood explains his AEW absence
Hurricane Helene destroyed many homes in different cities, including Asheville, North Carolina, where All Elite Wrestling's Dax Harwood and Adam Copeland currently reside.
Dax recently took to Twitter and claimed that he wasn't featured at WrestleDream because he was busy helping troubled people after the disaster.
"I wish we could be there for this one, but there’s still a little work to be done at home. Enjoy #AEWWrestleDream See y’all soon," wrote Dax.
It remains to be seen if FTR will pick up a victory against the Learning Tree members on this week's Dynamite.
