Last night, following AEW Collision, Tony Khan and management made an announcement off-air as they revealed that a high-stakes match on Dynamite later this week will have several stars banned from ringside. These are The Blackpool Combat Club and The Elite.
In the main event yesterday, Hangman Adam Page faced Jay White for a spot in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament. At one point in the match, the referee was taken out inadvertently, which allowed all sorts of drama to occur. This ended up working in Page's favor in the end, as he scored the win and a spot in the finals against Bryan Danielson.
Jeff Jarrett was irate backstage, feeling that the tournament in honor of Owen Hart had been desecrated. He then approached Tony Khan and wanted a solution. TK and interim EVP Christopher Daniels announced that they were banning everyone in the BCC and The Elite from ringside and making Jarrett the special enforcer for a pure one-on-one match between the two.
The Young Bucks also used their EVP powers to ban several AEW stars from ringside last night
Before Hangman Adam Page and Jay White's bout last night on AEW Collision began, The Young Bucks made an executive order saying that all members of the Bang Bang Gang were banned from ringside. This was an assist to Hangman whom they wanted to help win the entire tournament.
This ended up being a successful move from them. While the referee was incapacitated, Page pulled out his leather belt and struck White while he was done. To make matters worse, Christian Cage also came out to blindside The Switchblade, which helped Hangman advance to the finals.
Despite being banned from the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks could once more abuse their powers and pull off another scheme in hopes of helping Hangman Adam Page win the tournament and earn a world title shot.
