The last time fans saw Miro inside the squared circle was at the 2023 Worlds End Pay-Per-View when he defeated Andrade El Idolo in a singles match. He hasn't been on TV ever since. Recently, the fans found out that he had asked for his release.

After leaving WWE in 2020, he joined Tony Khan's company in the same year. He initially had signed a two-year contract that was set to expire in the spring of 2022. He then signed an extension contract, which binds him with the company until spring 2026.

However, The Bulgarian Brute had some creative differences with the company, which is why he has requested to leave the Jacksonville-based promotion amid his long absence.

On the recent edition of Smack Talk, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell commented on Miro, asking for his release from Tony Khan's company. He stated that Khan fumbled the former Rusev, and the AEW head is solely to blame for all this.

"It's Tony Khan; that's the disconnect. He is not seeing him as the fans saw him. They try to make him something else, and you can't make anybody anything if you just take them off TV. So, you've got to lay the blame or fault at Tony Khan's feet, because if he wanted to do something with him, he would. Apparently, he doesn't, and I've got enough money to pay him to sit at home, and that's what he's been doing," Dutch Mantell said [From 39:25 - 39:58]

So far, there is no news that Tony Khan has agreed to grant Miro's release. The fans have been speculating that The Redeemer might return to WWE after parting ways with AEW. It would be interesting to see what the future holds for the former AEW TNT Champion.
