AEW President Tony Khan was asked about Britt Baker's status. She has been absent from the promotion for a few weeks now, and not a single word has been said about her.
The former AEW Women's World Champion competed at All In against Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship, but after her loss, she has not been seen at all. Moné appeared tonight at All Out as she collided with Hikaru Shida with her title on the line.
During the All Out Media Scrum, Tony Khan was asked about Britt Baker's sudden absence. He talked about how she was a big part of AEW All In, and with more events approaching in the coming months, there could be a chance she'll make an appearance by then. He did not provide any specific details regarding her current status.
"Well, it was great to get Dr. Britt Baker back at AEW All In in Wembley Stadium. It was a great show tonight, and she's a big part of the AEW roster, and she was a big part of AEW All In. Obviously tonight we saw a lot of intense matches and intense rivalries, and as we approach the coming weeks, it's an exciting time. The events are coming fast and furious. It's that time of the year. Going from All In to All Out and now heading into Grand Slam in New York and into WrestleDream. And absolutely, Dr. Britt Baker is an important part of the roster and something to keep an eye on when we see from Dr. Britt Baker, and when we'll hear from her and what we'll see next." Mercedes Moné recently addressed mixed reactions to her match with Britt Baker
It is no secret that the match between the two at All In brought mixed reactions from the crowd.
In her recent Moné Mag Newsletter, The CEO commented on the match and the crowd's reactions. She mentioned that she sensed the audience being fatigued, and considering this was one of the latter matches, she couldn't blame them.
“I’ve heard a lot of mixed reactions to my All In match with Britt. I had a really good time out there with her. I did sense some audience fatigue. It’s only natural being third to last, as the crowd had already seen over 10 matches before ours. They arrived at 5:30, and by the time we came out, it was around 9:00," Mercedes Mone said.
Mone mentioned that she did end up hearing some chants from the crowd, and these were more audible once she listened to the broadcast of their match.
It remains to be seen when Britt Baker returns and what involvement she'll have in the coming weeks. With Mercedes putting their feud to rest, fans will have to tune in to see who she feuds with next.
